Connection Cost
The total cost of the electrical and thermal connections between device types is calculated by summing the linear distance of all connections.
This summed distance is used to calculate the total cost, where each mile of connections will cost 1 million dollars. The below figure shows
an example of a linear distance between the grid and electrical connection.

The high fidelity model includes losses of power due to the transfer of electricity through cables. We assume that the electrical efficiency
of AC and DC current is 99%.
