Research Methods and Tools for Trade Space Exploration

Motivation

The broad goals of our work are to develop the science of trade space exploration, to develop the tools needed to conduct data exploration, and to test our methods and tools on real world problems. With over 20 years of experience, our trade space exploration methods and tools have been applied to a wide variety of research topics and applications.

Publications and Proceedings

In support of this research, software tools have been developed to assist decision-makers with data exploration over complex multi-dimensional trade spaces. The Trade Space Visualizer imports table formatted datasets (csv, txt) and visualizes trends, outliers, and features using a variety of plotting capabilities. Key capabilities include 3D/2D scatter plots, multi-dimensional displays, filtering, Pareto/preference display, machine learning algorithms, and sampling of underlying simulation models. The software is free to download and use with the below link.
